Giving and Gratitude
I know that at this time of year,
everyone seems to be talking about Giving and Gratitude.
Honestly, there are times that I go
through my busy day (probably very similar to yours), look at my checkbook and
the bills as well as my to do list (which is more like a wish list these days),
and feel like if I am asked to give one more thing, I will either explode or
be ripped to pieces.
YUCK! How
did I get to this place where my smile is lost and replaced with this awful
crease in my brow! Here's the answer that is hard to face... I chose
to be in that place.
I forgot that there is:
·
a big difference between having a busy day vs. a
frenzied day,
·
a Huge difference between paying
bills, being glad I can pay what I can and then walking away vs. sitting,
stewing and racking my brain with worry about how things will work out,
·
an ENORMOUS difference between giving energy,
money, or time to myself which allows the energy to flow easily to
others through me vs. hoarding the energy, money, time, etc.
which only seems to stop things up!
I have learned and usually have to
re-learn this lesson often. :)
To thine own self be true...
I must show generosity, love and
kindness to myself FIRST only then can I pass it on.
I don't want to pass on this furrow
in my brow!
You've come a long way, Baby! (Sorry to use the Virginia
Slims tag line but it fits!)
I have felt a real push lately to
provide an opportunity for everyone to get together and share their
experience, strength and hope. I can't adequately express my excitement
about this event!
My intent for Celebrate
You! is for everyone to go home after this event feeling wonderful
because they shared their victories and progress from the past year. I would
like each person to be able to bring information about books, videos,
techniques, people, places and things that have helped them achieve those
victories or make that progress.
By the end of the evening, everyone
will get a chance to take home whatever information that they think would be
helpful to achieve whatever personal goals that they have set
for the next year!
If I only knew then what I know now...
The experience, strength and hope that we
can give and receive can prevent someone from having to re-invent the
wheel! When I am struggling, getting the chance to speak with someone who
has found resources and has made progress or arrived victoriously on the other
side of the struggle, can be a carrot to work towards or a light at the end
of the tunnel that spurs me on with hope and new
"tools" to try.
This event will allow all of
the participants to experience aromatherapy, explore
during a Star Meditation, provide healing energy to our planet
and participate in a generosity generator exercise!
For those that can't make it that
evening, PLEASE send me your info! Send me any person, place, technique
book video, etc. that has helped you on your Journey in 2007!
Celebrate YOU!!
An evening
to gather with like-minded people to celebrate progress, success and victory
experienced on our life's journey.
We will be
experiencing aromatherapy, sharing, and meditating.
Please bring
a list of the tools in your health tool box that you would like to share with
the class e.g. helpful books, people, places and techniques, etc.
